Tamil actor Silambarasan TR, popularly known as Simbu, continues to impress fans with his fit and toned appearance at the age of 42. Known for his chiselled six-pack abs and muscular build, the star is a symbol of dedication and discipline when it comes to fitness.
At a recent public event, Simbu was asked to share his thoughts on staying healthy and fit. He responded with straightforward and thoughtful advice. “At this age, we can eat anything,” he said. However, he was quick to stress the importance of moderation.
“Fitness takes time,” Simbu explained. “There may not be any immediate problems, but if you take your health for granted now, you will face difficulties later.” He advised against poor nighttime habits, saying, “Don’t go to sleep right after eating a heavy meal.”
His key recommendation is simple and practical: “Eat a little lighter at night. Even if you go to bed feeling a little hungry, everything will be fine.”
Simbu’s 30-Kilo Weight Loss Journey
In 2020, Simbu underwent a dramatic physical transformation, shedding around 30 kilograms. His weight loss journey became a source of inspiration for many. In an interview with The Times of India in October 2020, Simbu’s fitness trainer, Sandeep Raj, shared insights into the actor’s workout and diet plan.
“He starts his day at 4:30 AM with a brisk walk,” said Raj. “After that, he hits the gym for a session that targets different muscle groups. At first, we trained four days a week, but now it’s five.”
Raj also spoke about Simbu’s changes in diet. “He cut out non-vegetarian food and junk food. Then he switched to foods rich in alkaline content and nutrients. Eventually, he followed a calorie-deficit plan and added liquid meals to his routine.”
Simbu was committed to healthy eating. He made juices from salads he didn’t enjoy and followed a high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet. Most importantly, he prepared all his meals himself.
