Mohanlal’s Fitness Secrets for a Strong Body and High Energy at 65

Veteran Malayalam actor Mohanlal celebrated his 65th birthday on May 21. Known for his dedication to fitness, Mohanlal regularly shares videos on Instagram showcasing his intense workouts. Whether lifting weights, using battle ropes, or doing bench presses, he demonstrates remarkable strength and stamina.

In an October 2021 interview with The Hindu, Mohanlal’s fitness instructor, Aynus Antony, praised the actor’s “remarkably high” energy. He described Mohanlal as someone who never doubts his ability or refuses a tough workout. “There is nothing Lalettan [Mohanlal] cannot do,” Aynus said. “He never asks questions, never expresses doubt, and never says no to working out, no matter how hard the session is.”

Aynus also highlighted Mohanlal’s strong work ethic on and off set. “Lalettan is usually the first to arrive at the shooting sets and one of the last to leave. He brings the same dedication to his workouts,” he said. During the filming of Marakkar, Mohanlal came for training late at night, around 10 pm, despite being exhausted after a long day. “I saw him dozing off during the session. Even then, he stayed for the workout. It was only after I suggested we take it easy that he left,” Aynus recalled.

A typical workout with Mohanlal lasts about one and a half hours. Aynus explained the routine: “We start with warm-up and stretching. Core conditioning and balance exercises are also very important. Most days, we include resistance training with progressive overload.” He expressed admiration for Mohanlal’s stamina and commitment. “I am amazed at how Lalettan keeps up with me. His work ethic is inspiring. He always pushes himself to do more.”
