If you want an effective workout, look to Denise Austin. She is one of the most well-known trainers and fitness experts today. Denise is active on Instagram, YouTube, and blogs. She also founded “Fit Over 50” Magazine. Recently, she shared her favorite exercises to tighten and tone what she calls “flabby arms.” Many people are paying attention.

In her Instagram video, Denise wrote, “I know you all love a quick arm workout! Let’s tone and tighten your arms today. No more flabby arms when you wave goodbye! Grab light weights, between 3 and 8 pounds, and do these three simple moves for one minute each. You will see results and feel confident wearing tank tops this summer!”

Bicep Curls

Bicep curls are a great way to build strength and tone the muscles in your upper arms. They target the biceps and help your arms look firm and sculpted. Denise is a fan of this exercise and shows how to do it in her video.

Tricep Kickbacks

To shape your upper arms, you also need to work the triceps. For this exercise, lean forward with a straight back and extend your arms behind you while holding dumbbells.

Denise explains, “Tone and firm up. So when you wave goodbye, nothing will jiggle.” She performs this move for one minute in the video.

Dumbbell “Pull” and “Push”

In the third exercise, Denise holds dumbbells and moves her arms by pulling them back and then pushing them up. She calls this move effective for building “sexy tank top arms.”

She instructs, “Pull your arms down and push them back up.” Keep your arms at a 90-degree angle, hold your tummy in, and keep your back straight. Do this for one full minute. “You got this,” Denise encourages.

Pilates

Pilates is another excellent workout that works your whole body. It is also very good for defining your arms. Denise has a Pilates video on YouTube focused on arms. It includes moves such as bent-over lateral raises, bent-over rows, and kickbacks.

On her website, Denise writes, “I believe in low-impact exercises like Pilates and walking. These exercises benefit both your body and mind. I enjoy adding them to my routine! Pilates helps improve your core strength, promotes balanced muscle development, increases flexibility, and offers many other benefits.”
