Town Opens Registration for Summer Co-Ed Fitness Classes

OYSTER BAY, NY – Town Councilwoman Laura Maier has announced that registration is now open for the Town of Oyster Bay’s summer Co-Ed Fitness Classes, held at the Hicksville Athletic Center. These 10-week programs begin in early July and are designed to help adults stay active while enjoying a social atmosphere.

Open to individuals aged 18 and older, the classes offer a wide range of activities including cardio kickboxing, yoga, ballroom dancing, Pilates, and Zumba.

“Our summer programs are a great way to stay active and have fun,” said Councilwoman Maier. “You can connect with friends or meet new people, whether you prefer high-energy workouts or something more calming.”

Summer Fitness Class Schedule:

Ballroom Dancing

Saturdays, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., starting July 12

Cardio Kickboxing

Thursdays, 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., starting July 10

Pilates (Intermediate Level)

Thursdays, 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., starting July 17

Yoga

Saturdays, 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m., starting July 12

Sundays, 8:45 a.m. – 9:45 a.m., starting July 6

Tuesdays, 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., starting July 8

Thursdays, 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 a.m., starting July 10

Zumba

Mondays, 6:45 p.m. – 7:45 p.m., starting July 14

Wednesdays, 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m., starting July 9

How to Register:

Registration begins Wednesday, June 4 for Town of Oyster Bay residents and Wednesday, June 11 for non-residents. First-time resident users must upload proof of residency, such as a tax or utility bill, along with a valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license). Non-residents may register at a higher fee.

Participants are required to bring their own mats for Yoga, Pilates, and Cardio Kickboxing. Class times may change, but make-up sessions will be scheduled for any cancelled classes.
