Kelsea Ballerini lives a healthy lifestyle without stress or complications. The singer of “Cowboys Cry Too” explained how she stays well both on and off the road.
“It depends on what I’m doing,” Kelsea told E! News in an exclusive interview. She recently finished her latest tour in April. “When I was touring, I stuck to a strict routine. Sleep was my top priority. Everything else came after that. If I didn’t get enough sleep, I couldn’t function the next day.”
Kelsea developed easy habits that help her maintain balance. “I wasn’t too hard on my body because I was active every night, performing on stage for 90 minutes,” the 31-year-old said. She is also the newest brand ambassador for Celsius. “I wore ankle weights, sipped my Celsius drink, and walked around the arena. Every night, I made it a habit to walk up to the highest seat and watch the trucks load the stage.”
When she’s not on tour, Kelsea focuses on Pilates and listens carefully to her body. “Right now, I follow the 80/20 rule,” she explained. “Eighty percent of the time, I am mindful about my health. That means not just eating well and exercising but also taking care of my mental health, my life, and my relationships. The other 20 percent is about having fun.”
This summer, Kelsea plans to try something new: tennis. “I’ve never played before,” she said. “I just ordered a racket and I’m excited to give it a shot.”
