ABINGDON, MD — Onelife Fitness announced it will open a new gym in the Boulevard at Box Hill in spring 2026. This will be the 12th location for the fitness chain in Maryland.
The new facility will cover 60,000 square feet and offer a wide range of amenities and fitness options.
Ori Gorfine, CEO of Onelife Fitness, said, “As a leading wellness center in the DC area, we are excited to bring our unique fitness experience to Box Hill and the Abingdon community. We will also debut new fitness center designs to enhance the Onelife Fitness experience.”
Onelife Fitness has worked with Studio 3877, a design firm based in Georgetown, Washington, D.C., to create a fresh and improved environment for members. The goal is to offer the best value in fitness.
In October 2024, John Harris, owner of the Washington Commanders, purchased the Onelife Fitness chain through his investment firm, 26North Partners. The purchase price was not disclosed.
Onelife Fitness currently operates 70 centers along the East Coast. Each gym averages 50,000 square feet and features modern equipment, amenities, and services. The chain is known for its affordable membership rates.
The new Onelife Fitness at Box Hill will include:
An indoor saltwater pool, whirlpool, and cold plunge
High-quality strength and cardio machines
Boutique fitness classes such as BodyPump, Zumba, and APEX-HIIT
A Mind & Body Studio offering barre, yoga, and Pilates
A state-of-the-art cycling studio
Strength training area with Olympic lifting platforms and free weights
Large turf training spaces for functional athletic workouts
A strike boxing studio
Two outdoor training areas for strength and turf exercises
A kids club for ages 3 months to 11 years with gaming, basketball, and a cinema
A Recovery Studio featuring HydroMassage, red light therapy, and percussion and compression therapy
Spa-inspired locker rooms with sauna and other amenities
Onelife Fitness aims to provide a comprehensive and welcoming fitness environment for the Abingdon community.
