F3 Lantana Adds Sessions to Meet Growing Demand for Men’s Fitness and Fellowship

by Lana Green

In response to rising interest from local men, F3 Lantana, a free outdoor workout group, has added a new Saturday morning session. This addition expands the group’s weekly schedule to better serve the community.

F3 Lantana now meets three times a week: Tuesday and Thursday at 5:30 a.m., and Saturday at 6:00 a.m. All sessions take place outside at the Gazebo near the South Amenity Center.

Locally, the group is known as “The Quad,” a name that comes from the four grassy sections surrounding the gazebo. This location has become a key part of the group’s identity. It symbolizes the values of unity, growth, and support that F3 promotes.

F3 stands for Fitness, Fellowship, and Faith. It is an international movement that offers men a chance to improve their physical health, form strong social connections, and grow personally and spiritually. The group welcomes men aged 18 and older, regardless of their fitness level or background. Organizers say no prior experience is needed. Workouts are designed so each man can work at his own pace. The focus is on building camaraderie, not on competition.

The group’s mission goes beyond exercise. F3 Lantana understands that many men today face isolation, lack of purpose, and daily pressures. The group aims to meet these challenges by creating a true community. It encourages men to take on leadership roles and build supportive friendships that help them through life’s difficulties.

Kevin Carr, a local who joined F3 Lantana in October last year, spoke about how the group has helped him. “There’s something special about finishing a tough workout with other men. It’s a real blessing,” he said. “You come for the workout, but you leave knowing you are not alone. You have brothers who have your back. And it’s fun!”

After workouts, members often stay for coffee and conversation. This time allows them to connect before starting their day. The early start times help busy men fit fitness and fellowship into their schedules.

Organizers welcome any man interested to simply show up. No registration is needed. New participants are advised to bring gloves for outdoor exercise.

“You will not regret it,” said Carr. “It’s more than a workout, it’s a community.”

Other F3 groups meet regularly nearby in Argyle, Highland Village, Flower Mound, Justin, and Northlake.
