Veteran actor Suniel Shetty has shared how his life has changed after becoming a grandfather. In a heartfelt interview with Lallantop, Shetty spoke about his daughter Athiya Shetty and son-in-law KL Rahul welcoming their first child, baby girl Evaarah, and how she has become the center of his world.
“I’m Obsessed with My Granddaughter,” Says Suniel
Speaking candidly about his bond with Evaarah, Suniel revealed that he eagerly looks forward to spending time with her every day. “I’m obsessed with the baby,” he said. “I keep checking my phone or rushing home daily. The most exciting part is that she’ll soon be moving into the same building. That’s what I’m looking forward to the most.”
He also explained how this new chapter in life has brought changes to his routine. “I now complete all my workouts by 6:30 am. That way, I’m free to begin my duties as a grandfather while the rest of the family is still resting.”

Suniel also spoke about modifying his workout to better care for his granddaughter. “I’ve changed my training, too,” he said. “Now I focus on bending, lifting — all the things that keep my back strong. Babies need to be picked up often, so I want to make sure I’m physically ready for that.”
He added that many people think he’s joking, but he’s serious. “As you grow older, your body bends more, your lower back gets weaker, and your legs lose strength. So I’m working on staying strong and flexible. I want to walk straight, bend easily, and play with the kids for as long as I’m around.”

Athiya and Rahul became parents on March 24 this year. The couple shared a touching photo where Athiya is seen lovingly gazing at their baby girl, who rests in her father’s arms. In the caption, they announced her name and wrote, “Our baby girl, our everything. Evaarah/इवारा ~ Gift of God.”

“I cried after watching that film because I was a child actor too, and I wasn’t a part of it. I thought Mani Ratnam would never call me,” he said.
