Snap Fitness Isle of Wight in Newport has been nominated for the Isle of Wight County Press Gym of the Year 2025. The gym is one of 10 finalists competing for this prestigious award.
Since opening in 2019 at Towngate Retail Park, Snap Fitness has offered members 24/7 access, group exercise classes, and high-quality fitness equipment. Over the past five years, the gym has earned many positive online reviews and has become a key part of the local community.
Victoria Coles, the club manager, said the gym is known for its welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff, and spotless facilities. She added that Snap Fitness offers several benefits, including onsite personal trainers who provide free inductions and workout plans, three hours of free parking in Newport, a Theragun recovery area, an Inbody health scanner, and individual showers and changing rooms with GHD vanity areas. The gym also maintains a capped membership to ensure it never feels overcrowded.
Snap Fitness Isle of Wight is already an award-winning gym, having won the Customer Service Award at the National Fitness Awards last November.
Coles said, “We pride ourselves on putting our members and their experience first. It is wonderful to be recognized and shortlisted for this award here on the Island.”
The gym is actively involved in the community, hosting events for charities throughout the year. These include food drives, toy collections, Easter egg appeals, and danceathons. The trainers regularly take part in fun runs and charity events, often leading warmups. During carnival season, the team also participates in town celebrations by dancing in parades.
“It is clear that Snap Fitness Isle of Wight is more than just a gym — it is a true community hub,” Coles added.
Currently, the gym is running a special promotion. Members who bring their voting voucher or this article when signing up during staffed hours can save £30 on the sign-up fee.
