Powerade has launched a new formula for its sports drink, Powerade ION4, and is celebrating the release with a national fitness campaign that gives Australians a chance to win $5,000.
The updated “Next Gen Electrolyte Blend” now contains added calcium and magnesium, along with sodium and potassium. This blend is designed to help with hydration and to replace electrolytes lost during exercise.
Kate Miller, Senior Marketing Director at Coca-Cola South Pacific, said the Powerade range has been refreshed with a new formula and a modern look.
“Aussies, gather your friends, grab some Powerade, and get moving! Don’t just take our word for it – try to beat your personal best, sign up online, and show us your results. Whether you aim to improve your time or just want a fun way to stay active, the ‘5K for $5K’ challenge is a great chance to get fit and earn rewards.
“With more calcium and magnesium electrolytes, this is our personal best formula, and we are excited for people to try it!”
To join the ‘5K for $5K’ challenge, participants must buy a Powerade product from selected stores like Coles, Woolworths, or MILKRUN. They then scan the in-store QR code to access the entry page. After completing an online form, they must submit proof of a personal best 5km run recorded by a fitness tracking app.
