Ricki Lake has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, and the changes are clear.
The former talk show host lost more than 30 pounds through diet and exercise. But that was not the only change she made. Lake recently revealed she also had a face and neck lift.
She spoke openly about this during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” with host Andy Cohen.
Cohen praised her appearance, and Lake shared that six years ago she experienced hair loss. She shaved her head and later allowed her hair to grow back naturally, without using dye.
Then, she made a surprising confession. “I’ve also had, and I’ll reveal this to you [although] I’ve told other people,” Lake said. “I’ve had a lower face and neck lift.”
As Cohen continued to compliment her, Lake lifted her hands to show off her jawline. She said, “Thank you, I kind of think it’s the best facelift I’ve ever seen.”
She praised her doctor, Dr. Allen Foulad, calling him “a genius.”
Lake said she feels amazing after the procedure. “I love that I can talk about it. I’m fully transparent, always have been,” she said. “I don’t want there to be any stigma. This is something that was bothering me.”
She explained, “I lost a lot of weight and I had this certain thing hanging and I had it fixed.”
This news follows Lake’s earlier discussion about her weight loss journey.
In May 2024, she revealed that she refused to take Ozempic, a drug that was recommended by a doctor.
“The doctor was pushing it for people who were overweight,” she told “Good Morning America.”
“He said I wasn’t going to be successful without it. That really upset me. I like a challenge and proving people wrong. So, I wanted to try on my own.”
Lake said this was the best she had ever felt.
She and her husband, Ross Burningham, started their weight loss efforts in the fall of 2023.
They practiced intermittent fasting and followed a keto diet. They also began exercising, including Pilates.
Burningham lost over 40 pounds during this time as well.
The couple married in January 2022.
