Woman Loses 75kg with ‘nozempic’ Diet: No Injections, 5 Simple Rules

by Lana Green

After years of harsh bullying and painful taunts, Sarah Jane Clark, 53, has become a leading figure in what she calls the “Nozempic” revolution. Unlike many who turn to weight loss injections, Sarah Jane’s journey focused on five sustainable lifestyle changes without medication. Her transformation is remarkable.

At her heaviest, Sarah Jane weighed over 130 kg. From a young age, she developed a strong dependence on sugar. She often started her day with Cadbury buttons and Coca-Cola. She says her emotional neglect and sugar-rich upbringing led to a deep food addiction. Speaking to Sun Health, Sarah Jane recalled how her childhood was full of hurtful comments about her looks. Boys told her she had “rugby player legs” and that she “could be pretty if she weren’t fat.” These remarks stayed with her and affected her deeply.

Sarah Jane tried the Cambridge Diet in her teens, but her sweet tooth won every time. By age 25, her health was failing. She lost her periods, was diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), suffered from chronic fatigue, and was warned she might not live past 40. This was a turning point for her. “Doctors told me I was eating myself to death,” she said. But instead of injections or crash diets, she changed her life through five simple rules, which she now calls her “Nozempic diet.”

A Diet Born from Determination and Discipline

Sarah Jane’s first steps were small. She started with 30-minute walks and drinking more water. She stopped ordering takeaways and cut out processed foods. “If a food had more than five ingredients, I didn’t eat it,” she explains. She insists this was not a diet, but a new mindset. With every small success, her motivation grew. “The healthier I became, the healthier I wanted to be,” she said.

Her results were impressive. In 16 months, she lost 7 stone (about 44 kg). After having her two children, Chloe and Jack, she kept up her progress. She dropped from a size 28 to a size 10. But the changes went beyond her appearance. Sarah Jane also gained confidence and reclaimed her life.

From Avoiding Shame to Running Marathons

What started as daily walks grew into a serious fitness journey. Today, Sarah Jane has completed 50 half-marathons and two London Marathons. She runs a fitness brand called Step by Step With Sarah Jane, inspiring others to change without medical aid. “I was told I wouldn’t live to see 40. For my 40th birthday, I ran a 5K Race for Life,” she proudly said.

Now, Sarah Jane weighs a healthy 62 kg and has maintained her goal weight for five years. Along the way, she also found love. She met her husband, Paul Flounders, through their shared love of running. “He said I was amazing,” she shared. “I couldn’t believe he thought that. I never saw myself that way.”

‘You Can’t Inject Self-Love’

Although weight loss injections are popular, Sarah Jane warns people to be cautious. “You can’t just inject yourself and love yourself,” she said. She sees many people rely on injections without addressing the emotional reasons behind their food choices. “I see people on jabs still eating unhealthy food. It’s not the miracle people think it is.”

Her five simple rules are: walk 30 minutes every day, drink more water, avoid ultra-processed foods, find joy in exercise, and skip the injections. “Educate yourself about what you’re eating. Read the ingredients. If a food has more than five ingredients, don’t eat it,” she advises.
