When starting a regular fitness routine, the first question is often how often to work out. Exercising too much can lead to overtraining, while working out too little makes it hard to see progress.
Jennifer Aniston’s trainer, Dani Coleman, has shared her advice on the ideal weekly workout frequency. Coleman, the head coach at Pvolve—the fitness program favored by Jennifer—told E! News, “I usually recommend training three to four times a week. Four sessions a week is a trainer’s dream, but three times is more realistic for most people’s schedules.”
If you are new to fitness, Coleman suggests building habits carefully. She says, “Start small. It sounds simple, but I always choose consistency over intensity. The goal is to get into the habit of daily movement and gradually increase your effort.”
Coleman warns against trying to do too much too fast. “Many people get motivated at first but then lose steam. It is important to know your reasons for exercising and keep building toward your long-term goals. Small daily choices add up to big results.”
She also advises not to pressure yourself too much. “Listen to your body, whether you have 30 minutes or are feeling tired. You don’t need to be at 100% every time. Consistency does not mean always giving your best effort.”
“There will be days when you only have 50% energy and limited time,” Coleman says. “On those days, we make it count by meeting your body where it is.”
