GymGuyz, the mobile personal training franchise known for its bright red vans, is now bringing its fitness services to Southwest Atlanta. The franchise, founded in Long Island, delivers personalized workouts to clients’ homes, workplaces, and more, eliminating the need for a gym. This marks the latest expansion for GymGuyz, which now operates in over 1,300 cities across three countries.
The new location is led by Joel and Erin Castro, a husband-and-wife team. A grand opening ceremony will take place on June 17 at 2 p.m. at the Fayette County Chamber of Commerce. The event will feature a community workout, inviting residents to get a taste of the GymGuyz experience.
“At GymGuyz, we aim to help people lead happy, healthy lives through fitness,” said Erin Castro. “We’re not just offering a service; we’re providing the support people need to reach their fitness goals. We’re excited to make a positive impact in Southwest Atlanta and in the lives of its residents.”
GymGuyz offers a variety of personalized fitness programs, including strength and cardio training, sports conditioning, weight loss, youth training, and senior fitness. The company also provides assisted stretching and nutrition counseling. Services are available for individuals and groups, with options for corporate clients, schools, hospitals, and residential communities.
In a recent interview, GymGuyz founder and CEO Josh York highlighted the franchise’s flexible business model, which has allowed franchisees to sidestep the typical challenges of traditional fitness centers. According to York, many gym-goers struggle to maintain their membership due to scheduling issues. However, GymGuyz’s mobile service offers the flexibility, personal interaction, and accountability that clients value.
“We have businesses using our services for seven or eight hours a day, five to six days a week,” York said. “That’s what I call aggressive recurring revenue. The key is convenience, and that’s why we’re disrupting the fitness industry.”
