Travis Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, stepped out in a more covered-up look just one day after photos of his hairy back went viral.
The 35-year-old athlete was seen in Florida on Tuesday, wearing a Nike navy muscle tee that highlighted his muscular biceps after a game of padel. Kelce paired the dark tank with black athletic shorts that showcased his toned calves, and he carried a black and white gym bag.
The star accessorized with white slides and a silver chain, his tousled hair and sweaty appearance indicating a vigorous fitness session. He made his way to his black SUV, maintaining a more concealed look after his viral back hair photos from the previous day.
Kelce had been seen in Miami the day before, removing his shirt after a workout with friends. Fans quickly noticed the thick body hair on his back, shoulders, and chest, which sparked a wave of commentary online.
NFL player Kirk Cousins, a fellow NFL star, even humorously commented on Kelce’s appearance, joking about pop star Taylor Swift’s acceptance of his body hair. “God bless Taylor Swift for being good with that,” the Atlanta Falcons quarterback said. “That’s awesome. Good for her.”
Kelce himself has often joked about his body hair. In a February 2024 podcast with his brother, Jason Kelce, the football player recalled his days at the University of Cincinnati, where his friends nicknamed him “Big Yeti” due to his thick beard, long hair, and noticeable body hair.
“It’s just a big ole Yeti out there, man,” Travis laughed, sharing stories of playing basketball with friends. “All the homies on the court were calling me ‘Big Yeti.’”
The athlete also addressed his body hair in a light-hearted moment on his Wondery+ show last week, admitting with a grin, “I’m a furry son of a bitch.”
Despite the attention his body hair has garnered, Kelce has continued to embrace his look with humor and confidence.
