Ballingarry is set to host the much-loved B-Fest 2025 over the June Bank Holiday weekend, from Friday, May 30, to Monday, June 2. This popular community festival promises four days filled with music, entertainment, and fundraising, supporting two vital cancer charities.
Since its start in 2012, B-Fest has become a cherished local event. Over the years, it has raised more than €130,000 for various charities and community groups. This year, organisers hope to beat previous fundraising totals, with all proceeds going to the Irish Cancer Society and Breast Cancer Ireland.
The festival begins on Friday morning with a coffee morning and cake sale from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Saturday’s activities start at 12:30 p.m. with a yoga session led by Aisling at the well-known Mustard Seed. This is followed by an informative talk from Breast Cancer Ireland to help raise awareness about breast cancer symptoms. In the afternoon, Mairead Moran will lead a lively Zumba class to get everyone moving.
As evening falls, local bands Epic Shadow and Bog the Donkey will perform live on the GIG RIG stage from 8 p.m., promising an exciting night of music.
Sunday focuses on family fun with a Family Fun Day in the park. Later, DJ Shaz, Traffic, and Big Generator will take the stage on the GIG RIG to entertain the crowd.
The festival concludes on Monday with a Monster Draw and live music at Condron’s Bar, featuring performances by William and Michelle.
Entry to B-Fest is by wristband only, with wristbands available locally for €15. Organisers expressed their gratitude, saying the festival’s success depends heavily on the loyal and enthusiastic support of the Ballingarry community.
