Lev Management, the local franchisee of Planet Fitness, has opened its ninth Midlands location at 760 Hwy 378 in West Lexington. The new facility spans nearly 26,000 square feet and will be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, offering a hassle-free, non-intimidating environment for its members.
The gym features state-of-the-art Matrix cardio machines and strength equipment, a 30-Minute Express Circuit, fully equipped locker rooms with day lockers and showers, numerous flat-screen televisions, and free fitness training. Additionally, the Black Card Spa area includes HydroMassage beds, massage chairs, a Red-Light Recovery booth, and more. The location also offers a unique European-style hybrid tanning and light therapy service, as well as the newly introduced Cryo-Recovery Lounge—first of its kind in the Carolinas.

Bobenage also emphasized the importance of fitness in improving overall health, particularly after the pandemic. “Fitness is essential. Good health can significantly improve illness outcomes,” he noted. To ensure the safety of its members, all nine Lev Management Planet Fitness locations are equipped with state-of-the-art air purification systems that eliminate viruses, bacteria, mold, and other contaminants. Staff also clean surfaces regularly to maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
Membership Options Planet Fitness offers two membership types: the Classic membership, which provides affordable access to the home gym, and the Black Card membership, which includes additional perks like the ability to bring a guest every day for free, access to over 2,600 fitness locations, Black Card Spa amenities, and discounts on drinks and merchandise.
In addition to the nine locally owned locations, there are three corporate-owned Planet Fitness gyms in the Midlands. While all locally owned gyms are open and staffed 24/7, the corporate locations do not operate around the clock. Lev Management is planning to open its tenth location in Red Bank in 2026.
Summer Program for Teens On June 1, Planet Fitness launched its High School Summer Pass program, allowing high schoolers aged 14-19 to work out for free this summer, until August 31.
