PARIS, FRANCE (May 28, 2025) – Kinomap, a global leader in interactive video-based training, has launched a new feature called Outdoor Activities. This update allows users to record real-world workouts such as running, walking, and cycling through their smartphone’s GPS, expanding Kinomap’s training platform beyond indoor spaces.
The new feature is now available on iOS and Android devices. It lets users track outdoor sessions and store them in their Kinomap activity history. This provides a fuller view of each user’s fitness journey, combining both indoor and outdoor workouts in one app.
“Kinomap has always focused on immersive indoor training using video,” said Philippe Moity, CEO and co-founder of Kinomap. “Now, with Outdoor Activities, we bring that same experience outdoors. Whether you’re jogging in your neighborhood or cycling in the countryside, you can log your workout directly in the app and better understand your fitness progress.”
Kinomap’s platform is known for its thousands of geolocated videos that simulate scenic and challenging routes worldwide. With the launch of Outdoor Activities, the company now offers a hybrid training solution. Users can switch between indoor workouts using smart trainers and outdoor sessions using only their phones.
Highlights of the Outdoor Activities Feature:
Real-time GPS tracking for running, walking, and cycling
Full integration with existing Kinomap profiles and activity history
Data insights including distance, pace, elevation, and route maps
Motivational tools such as badges and fitness challenges
This update supports individuals training on their own, as well as fitness professionals and corporate wellness programs that want more versatile workout tools. Users can now keep track of all their activities—indoors and outdoors—in one unified system.
The Outdoor Activities feature is included in the latest version of the Kinomap app and is available for both free and premium users.
