Kmart Australia has unveiled a new budget-friendly fitness product, adding to its growing range of home workout gear.

The retail giant quietly rolled out the $49 Multi Workout Station, now available in stores nationwide. Designed to help users strengthen their core and upper body, the device is compact, lightweight, and ideal for home use.

Although newly launched, the product has already gained traction among customers. Many have shared positive reviews online, calling the device a game changer.

“I’ve just bought one and I love it,” one customer wrote. Another added, “Looks good for the price point.”

Others expressed excitement more bluntly: “I need it in my life.”

However, not all feedback has been positive. A few shoppers questioned the gadget’s durability. One user reported a flaw in its construction, stating: “It works well for the price, but it doesn’t glide smoothly where the parts join. You have to adjust it manually, which can be frustrating.”

Despite the complaint, the same shopper praised its storage-friendly design and overall effectiveness. Others were more skeptical, with one person commenting, “I’d snap that first go.”

This launch follows the earlier release of Kmart’s 10-in-1 Core Trainer, another compact fitness tool priced at $39. The multi-functional gadget targets the abdomen, biceps, and thighs. It supports exercises such as sit-ups, stomach crunches, push-ups, and leg raises, and offers three resistance levels for adjustable intensity.

Weighing only 1.8kg, the core trainer allows users to perform ten different exercises including biceps training, oblique and side crunches, abdominal and thigh workouts, and more.

“If your New Year’s resolution involves getting stronger, you need this core trainer from Kmart,” a fitness enthusiast said in a promotional video. “You can do 10 different exercises to work every part of your body. And it’s such a great workout. For only $39, I highly recommend you give this a try.”

Shoppers also shared nostalgic sentiments about the device. Many recalled similar workout tools popular in the 1990s, often seen in late-night infomercials. Some mentioned their mothers and grandmothers using similar machines years ago.

“We’ve come full circle if these bad boys are back,” one person said. Another joked, “Next minute, we’ll all be back in fluoro Lycra, listening to Olivia Newton-John’s ‘Let’s Get Physical’ on repeat.”

The retro comeback was welcomed by many. “Such a good idea,” one user said. “Oh, I like the look of this,” another added. Several declared they couldn’t wait to get their hands on the “cool” new gadget.

With both workout tools flying off the shelves, Kmart continues to position itself as a top destination for affordable home fitness solutions.
