Bay Club Keeps Growing by Buying 425 Fitness

by Lana Green

SAN FRANCISCO, June 2, 2025 — The Bay Club Company (“Bay Club”) announced today that it has acquired 425 Fitness, a well-known group of fitness clubs in the greater Seattle area. 425 Fitness has three locations in Bothell, Redmond, and Issaquah. This acquisition strengthens Bay Club’s presence in Seattle and supports its goal to build vibrant local communities across the Pacific Northwest. Bay Club focuses on a unique Campus model that centers on sports, outdoor activities, and active living.

Adding the three 425 Fitness clubs fits Bay Club’s strategy to create regional Campuses that serve all parts of a modern active lifestyle. Each Campus combines high-quality amenities under a flexible Shared Membership plan. This plan lets members add people they choose — such as neighbors, coworkers, friends, or family. Bay Club’s approach helps build strong connections through specially designed experiences. These experiences encourage members to live healthier and more active lives.

Founded in 1988, 425 Fitness has over 35 years of experience in community wellness. Each of its locations offers large fitness areas, studios, recovery zones with Theragun and Hydromassage, saunas, saltwater pools, hot yoga classes, and youth programs. These features closely match Bay Club’s focus on premium amenities and an active lifestyle.

Victor Woo, Executive Vice President of New Business Development at Bay Club, said, “Expanding into Seattle’s Eastside suburbs is a natural next step for our Campus strategy. The 425 Fitness locations add fitness options that complement our existing sports and outdoor recreation clubs like PRO Clubs and Harbor Square Athletic Club. Together, these create a well-rounded Campus where people thrive through movement, connection, and play.”

With these three new clubs, Bay Club will organize its Pacific Northwest operations into two Campuses. The new Washington Campus will include PRO Club Bellevue, PRO Club Seattle, Harbor Square Athletic Club in Edmonds, and the three 425 Fitness locations. The Oregon Campus, anchored by Bay Club Portland, will remain a focus for future growth.
